J.I.D Accepts Tory Lanez Challenge: “The Floodgates Are Open”

Tory Lanez has been challenging any and every rapper in the game to go head-to-head with him to see who the better rapper is. During an Instagram Live session today, he said that he wanted to take out each Dreamville artist in order to get to the final boss: J. Cole. J.I.D took issue at this and clowned the Canadian rapper’s hairline before engaging in a back-and-forth. Now, it looks like we’ll be seeing Tory and J.I.D go bar-for-bar with each other to determine who the better MC is.
J.I.D took to his Instagram Live to accept Tory Lanez’ challenge to a rap battle. The DiCaprio 2 rapper made it clear that he has no issues with Tory but he is ready to throw down in a battle.
“I’ve been waiting on this. Thank you, Lord! Thank you, Jesus. The floodgates are open, n***a,” he said. “I’m about to go on the bus and record with a raspy ass voice — I don’t even know what I want to say about this n***a. I don’t look up — I don’t know him like that. I just went on tour with this n***a and I saw how he moves.”
J.I.D was pretty fired up during the IG Live session, but he made it clear that he has no actual problems with Tory.
“He’s not a bad guy. I’m not saying I don’t fuck with him. I fuck with Tory Lanez. I fuck with him, he’s a great artist. But, sorry. You went into uncharted territory,” he said. “You in some murky waters right now.”
