Kodak Black Sentenced To One Year In Jail

Kodak Black was arrested in January following an Instagram Live feed that went wrong and now he’s been sentenced to one year in jail.

The Florida rapper’s legal team were able to have multiple charges dropped such as possession of weapons or ammo by a felon, grand theft of a weapon, and child neglect, however Kodak had to plead guilty to driving with a suspended licence and associating with people engaged in criminal activity. The plea deal will see Heart Break Kodak serve one year in jail minus the 90 days he’s already spent behind bars.

His lawyers were also able to have his previous house arrest and four year probation removed from his record in an effort to lessen Project Baby’s chances of going back to jail once he is released.

Attorney Bradford Cohen had this to say about the case:

“Kodak and I are extremely happy to resolve this case with an excellent resolution. It was very nice to deal with a fair judge who understood the circumstances – along with prosecutors.”

Congratulations to Kodak on his victory and expect him to be released as early as October.
