Selena Gomez, 26 is undergoing treatment for emotional health issues.
According to a source,
“Selena is receiving treatment and has the full support of her friends and family. She was recently hospitalized after complications from her kidney transplant, and she’s committed to focusing on her health.”
The songstress has been to the rehab countless times in past years and has always come out truthfully about her health struggles.
“As much as I am grateful for the voice that social media gives each of us, I am equally grateful to be able to step back and live my life present to the moment I have been given. Kindness and encouragement only for a bit! Just remember- negative comments can hurt anybody’s feelings.”
“I was diagnosed with lupus, and I’ve been through chemotherapy. That’s what my break was really about. I could’ve had a stroke.”
“I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off.”
“Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease that can damage any part of the body (skin, joints, and/or organs). “Chronic” means that the signs and symptoms tend to last longer than six weeks and often for many years.
In lupus, something goes wrong with the immune system, which is the part of the body that fights off viruses, bacteria, and germs (“foreign invaders,” like the flu). Normally our immune systems produce proteins called “antibodies” which protect the body from these invaders.”
